1. Service Description

MeterFox is a hosted API cost monitoring platform that tracks usage and spending across AI providers. The service includes a dashboard, proxy gateway, alerting system, and team collaboration features.

2. Account Terms

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use MeterFox
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service infrastructure
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the service without authorization
  • Use the proxy gateway to circumvent provider rate limits or terms

4. API Key Handling

When you provide API keys, they are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stored securely. Keys are only used to fetch usage data from providers and to proxy API requests on your behalf. MeterFox does not log the content of proxied requests or responses — only metadata such as token counts, model names, and latency.

5. Proxy Gateway Terms

The proxy gateway routes your API calls through MeterFox for automatic cost tracking. You remain responsible for complying with each provider's terms of service. MeterFox is not responsible for provider outages, rate limits, or billing disputes between you and your API providers.

6. Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from Settings. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

7. Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of your usage data and API keys. MeterFox does not claim any intellectual property rights over your data. You may export your data at any time using the built-in export feature.

8. Limitation of Liability

MeterFox is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the service, including inaccurate cost calculations or provider API failures.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate service at any time. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion. You may request immediate deletion by contacting support.
